As a result of our decisions about 247’s structure last year, we’ve been able to form an International Communities Team. It’s great to say that alongside me in the Communities mix are now four other wonderful people:

Joe Steinke is married to Angie and together they lead the Greenhouse Boiler Room community in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Joe looks a lot like Bono and recently wrote a song on top of the Great Wall of China.

Aaron White is married to Cherie and they lead the Salvation Army 614 Community in Vancouver, Canada, based in the heart of the downtown eastside. Aaron is an amateur Hip-Hop MC and he supports Chelsea, so he’s a bit depressed right now.

Phil Togwell is married to Emma and they are about to live in Romford as part of a newly forming 247 community. Phil likes cocktails, 80’s music and mountains. Some people think he’s a bit like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.

Markus Laegel is married to Andrea and they live in community with others in Ramsdorf, nr Leipzig in eastern Germany. Markus famously had his head shaved to raise money at our Round Table in Dresden. According to my daughter Lucy, he is “cool”.

And my name is Andy Freeman, I'm married to Karen and come from Reading, England. Together we are currently the International Communities Team.
