Defining the Roles and Responsibilities within the 24-7 Leadership Fractal

A 24-7 Director

Looking to God the Father, the Director’s responsibility is to provide loving guidance (direction), discipline, encouragement, initiative, and strategic resource to the Leader who represents his/her heart and vision.

Specifically a 24-7 Director:

  • Provides oversight of 24-7 objectives & values from outside the team situation.
  • Available to Team Leader & team: meets at least twice a year with the Leader face-to-face and at least once a year with the Leadership Team, as well as being highly available by phone, email, etc.
  • Spiritual oversight with emphasis on encouragement, but able to bring correction when needed
  • Appoints Advisor with the help and agreement of Leader
  • Encourages input from the Advisor + any potential boards
  • Consulted on appointments to the Leader’s team
  • Sets expectations and direction for the team in consultation with the leader
  • Provides mentoring and accountability for the Leader
  • Agrees a review and meeting process with the Leader
  • Reports to appropriate leadership team i.e. Nation Director to International Leadership Team, Project Director within a 24-7 nation to their National Team, etc.
  • Accountable to and appointed by above leadership team in consultation with the local situation and potentially the Adviser.
  • Responsible for the Leader.


A 24-7 Leader

Looking to God the Son, the Leader’s responsibility is to incarnate the vision and values of the Director (aka 24-7) sacrificially and passionately as a servant leader in the context of a team.

Specifically a 24-7 Leader:

  • Reports to the Director on progress and development
  • Keeps the Advisor informed about the health of relationship with the Director
  • Sets objectives & goals in line with expectations set by Director
  • Sets strategies & tasks to achieve goals within agreed budget
  • Responsible for delivering goals with team
  • Responsible for Team selection in consultation with Director
  • Builds, leads & pastors team
  • Manages representation of 24-7 to the public within their sphere
  • Identifies parties that must be consulted within 24-7
  • Accountable to the Director and Adviser
  • Responsible for the Leadership Team and their 24-7 project.
  • Appointed by their local community in consultation with the Director.


A 24-7 Advisor

Looking to God the Spirit the Adviser’s responsibility is to bring advocacy, counsel, intercession and empowerment to the Leader by encouraging, nurturing and protecting his or her relationship with God and with his or her Director.

Specifically a 24-7 Adviser:

  • Spiritual advisor to Director & Leader specifically in the dynamics of their relationship
  • Meets and prays with the director and leader at least one day a year and on another occasion with the leader.
  • Throughout the year the adviser is available to the director and leader should problems arise or counsel be required.
  • The adviser has no executive power/responsibility within 24-7 Prayer, only within this specific relationship.
  • Advocate of 24-7 Prayer
  • Leader of Advisory Board (optional function)
  • Available to Leader and Team for input
  • Practitioner of the values of 24-7 though not necessarily working within 24-7
  • Accountable to appropriate National or International Leadership team
  • Responsible for the fruitfulness of the relationship between the Director and Leader.
